Malarkey started in Oregon in 1956. Our goal is simple – build the shingles we want on our own homes – made better to last longer, and more sustainable.
Malarkey shingles deliver up to 35% greater tear strength and 65% greater granule adhesion than the industry standard (ASTM D3462), and up to a Class 4 impact rating (highest rating possible).
Malarkey was first to launch SBS rubberized asphalt shingles; first to launch smog-reducing shingles; first to engineer a larger nailing area; first to use upcycled rubber and plastics in shingles.
By incorporating upcycled materials and smog-reducing granules into our shingles, Malarkey has diverted the equivalent of billions of plastic bags and millions of rubber tires from the landfill, and ‘planted’ the equivalent of over 1 million trees to help clean the air.
